John Louallen Calls for Conservative Leadership and Accountability in State Spending

Pegram, TN – John Louallen, Republican candidate for Tennessee House of Representatives District 78, is raising concerns over what he calls “a spending problem” in the Tennessee General Assembly.

Since 2015, the State of Tennessee’s budget has ballooned from approximately $32 billion to $59.9 billion for fiscal year 2025. Louallen said this dramatic increase highlights a troubling trend of government expansion and fiscal irresponsibility.

“As Republicans, we are supposed to stand for smaller government, responsible spending, and accountability,” said Louallen. “Instead, what we’ve seen is continued growth in bureaucracy and a steady rise in state spending. That’s not conservative leadership.”

Louallen emphasized that true conservative principles must guide policy in Nashville moving forward. “Our elected representatives should be finding ways to cut waste, limit the size of government, and return more of our hard-earned tax dollars to Tennessee families. It’s time for accountability, and it’s time for bold leadership that puts conservative values into action.”
